This is a legend from Mexico, long ago in a village called Santa Magdalena Jicotilán, a small and quiet town of Mexico lived a child named Pablo.
This town belongs to the state of Oaxaca, the inhabitants name the town as a ghost town, many of its inhabitants had to migrate for lack of work, leaving the village very depopulated, a town away from technology, what most admire its inhabitants is Tranquility, has the greatest ethnic and linguistic diversity of the country, in this town is the church Santa Maria Magdalena an ancient building of the eighteenth century, is well known for possessing various pieces of gold and silver.
Oaxaca's longing for a long time ago, before the migration of its inhabitants, went on December 24 in the afternoon and night to the church of Santa María Magdalena to receive the baby Jesus, carrying countless gifts in commemoration of the arrival From Salvador.
Paul was fascinated by this custom. Arriving on December 24 Every year he observed how many strangers came from the far side with beautiful gifts, people passing before him with various gifts, candles, clothes, fruits, toys, countless things.
This made Paul very sad, every year it was the same, he was so poor that he had nothing to give the baby Jesus and this killed him sadly, sat in the doorway of the church to see how all the pilgrim deposited His gifts at the foot of the altar of the child Jesus, but he had nothing to give.
The following year he had to go through the same anguish, he arrived on December 24 and the pilgrims began to arrive, they came from all over Mexico and some of neighboring countries, long lines to enter the church, as always sitting in the Doorway of the church watching how the gifts deposited the foot of the altar of the child Jesus.
Pablo could not stand his anguish any longer and he began to cry, his tears flowing down his cheeks until he reached the ground, I suddenly noticed a red flower plant that had never been seen before, Pablo understood the sign, it was a gift from God for his love Who had the child Jesus, Paul took the flowers and took it to the altar of the Child Jesus as his gift.
The flower was very beautiful and unknown that caught the attention of all present, the beautiful flower stood out from the rest of the gifts, to see this Paul understood that his gift was the most beautiful of all.
The year after arriving on December 24, Paul observed how all the pilgrims brought as a gift a red flower very similar to his gift, this was repeated the following year and the next.
