IF you’re a freelancer: do you love it? If you’re not, would you want to be??
I am not currently a freelancer, and I would love to be one. It comes with its advantages and disadvantages.
One of the advantages is the great flexibility involved in it, not everyone is cut out with working a 9 - 5 job everyday. Waking up very early if you have a family to get the kids set for school and if you live in a traffic prone area. You have to shorten or suspend you sleep or rest. It could be really challenging doing this 5 or 6 times a week.
As a freelancer you get to choose your most preferred working hours, some people are more efficient at night because of the calmness of the night.
The major disadvantage is the unpredictability of your income, this month you might surpass your income targets and the next month you could fall short of it. There are no guarantees of pay or wages and this can affect your long term goals.
