Today, there are approximately 7.7 BILLION people alive today.

In 1972, there were "only" about 3.86 BILLION people.

As this relates to OVERPOPULATION, the late, great writer and professor Isaac Asimov believed that the world population was above its long term sustainable level back in 1988 with 5 Billion people at that time, as he discussed this topic in an interview with Bill Moyers...
