This is beautiful. I would say fighting the source of inadequacy will be hard. It is better to get to a place where you can look at it objectively. These are some questions I would ask.
Who is projecting this on me?
Why are they doing this?
What are my goals?
How do I let this negativity pass through me until I have balanced peace again?
I am on a similar mission and my method of letting negativity "pass through" is poetry.
It is vital to let negativity pass because there may be negative things people have said years ago that can still affect you today.
