Americana Will Be My New Focus

Welcome Steemians: I wanted to announce that I will not be writing chapters of the Dancer and publishing them nearly as often. I will continue the novel with a chapter each on Friday and Saturday of every week.

I have always wanted to do what I am about to do: write very uplifting things from the time period of my life. All those little wonderful things, the simple pleasures in life that were America and for many people still are, like Van Camp's baked beans. Life's simple pleasures are the best.

There are plenty of great things about America. Since I was a soldier, I thought I would write about them. One of the things I found hardest personally was defending freedom of speech and freedom of religion. It really is hard to take what is said sometimes. I often think about what happened to my right foot in the Army and my back. Was it worth it? It is a dirty job and someone has to be stupid enough to do it.
