The night of the big groups.

When you work at a restaurant one thing you want to see a lot of is big parties and groups.

Big parties and groups mean big money.

At the front desk in addition to the lineup you will find a reservation sheet.

The reservation sheet should have lots of different names on it.

In addition to the names it should list the number of people.

A good night to work might be a night in which there are 10 or 20 names on that reservation sheet and at least half of them are parties of 10 or more people.

If you can get a party of 20 people and share it with one other person then you are probably looking at $50 right there.

It might be easy and it might be difficult.

Tonight we have a whole lot of parties at a restaurant.

To tell you the truth, I have mixed feelings about parties.

They mean good money but they can also be a lot of work.

They are especially a lot of work when there are parties everywhere because it means that you never get to stop and take a break.

Sometimes when there are a lot of parties it just seems like it's too much all at once.

Tonight is one of those nights.
