The best days are the ones that go by in the blink of an eye.
Most of us have two kinds of time.
Work time.
Play Time.
Sure...... we generally have a bunch of errands to do after work, and you could consider those errands working also, but we are all looking forward to getting home.

Walk in the the door........ kick off your shoes. Time to take it easy.
Unfortunately that work day seems to take forever.
Doesn't it? It does for me.
The exception only comes when the day is really busy.
Busy for us in the restaurant industry means constantly having something to do.
Somebody walks in the door, we seat them, greet them, we talk to them, we get their food, we check the line, we check with the cook, we check with the bartender, back and forth, back and forth, over and over, nonstop.

It literally never stops at all. In fact, it takes a great deal of endurance to be able to do this job in the first place. You have to have good shoes also....... or else you're going to end up killing yourself.
The good part about it is that days like this seem to go by in about five minutes.
Now I'd hate it if all of my days went by that fast........ but I really like when the day goes by fast when I'm at work.
Unfortunately enjoying yourself seems to make time go by really fast too.
When you're really busy or when you're really having fun the day seems to be over before it even begins.
It's OK though. It means that you're really living.
I know there will be another work day and I don't exactly dread it...... it's not so bad.
Still....... I hope it's really busy so that I can hurry and get back to my play time.
The best days are the ones that go by in the blink of an eye.
Good point. Time drives everything. There so many thing you could do “with” time. There is so many things you could do “about” time, you can write book, make a schedule... Everything is about time. The most scary thing about time is, it goes soooo fast.
You're right time is everything.
These must be the best years of my life because the past five years just kind of blinked by.
Yeah it's the same way with me.
This is very good observation. Time flies specially when we are doing something we enjoy. No one of us likes to wait for someone/day/thing and that's why when we have to wait, it feels like all the clocks in the world stopped working.
Time flies when you're having fun....... but also flies when we're busy even if we're not having very much fun.
I think we have an internal clock that seems to work slowly when we have a lot of work and accelerate when we have fun, in fact in medical school they told us about a study that shows me the activation of these circuits, it is awesome. But, very complex! I would like it to be reversed, very slow when we rest and have fun and fast at other times. Good post!

Nice post
I know what you mean but if your life is passing that quickly then are you really enjoying it. It depends on the work life balance and how much is work. But the best solution in my mind would be surely to work at something that you enjoy more and experience each day with a full set of memories. Thanks for posting your thoughts up on this.
