Scary Movie October: Cube
I will try to watch a scary movie every night throughout the rest of October and write a short review of it.
Tonight's movie is Cube.
Cube is a fascinating movie and I really love it.
It really makes you think, not only about the nature of mankind, but about the world that we live and how small it can be.
Not only that though........ it is a truly interesting movie.
Fear.
Paranoia.
Suspicion.
Desperation.
That sums up cute pretty well except that I probably would have also included claustrophobia and blood and bodies.
Cube is a very bloody movie but it is completely awesome.
One of the most interesting things about Cube is the fact that it does not have any well known actors in it.
That's not entirely true though because it does have a couple very well known B rated Sci Fi actors.
Nicole de Boer played in Star Trek Deep Space Nine and also in Stephen King's The Dead Zone TV series.
David Hewlett played in Stargate Atlantis.
Make no mistake though......... even though Cube is a Sci Fi movie in a few ways it is absolutely a horror movie.
Six strangers are placed in an endless maze with no way out....... each room containing traps that could kill you in an instant.
If it sounds familiar you should know that Cube is the first of this type of movie.
Since Cube came out I have also heard of a multitude of movies with a similar plot but Cube was the first one of these and it is the best one of these.
Cube will have you wondering what's really going on the whole time as you watch each of your favorite characters try to find their way out of this maze.
Each room could be a death trap or it could be the way out.
When someone dies you can rest assured their death will be glorious and as bloody as anyone could possibly imagine.
You'll know within the first 3 or 4 minutes if you like this movie or not.
The first death occurs that quickly and it is so gory that it is hard to even describe.
Cube is a mystery but it's so much more than that.
It is definitely one of my very favorite horror movies.
End of the movie so confusing my self.
it's not connecting something but good movie.
