How do they get so many different drinks in those standing drink machines at your favorite fast food place?
You've seen those standing drink machines.
The ones that seem to be in every fast food place these days.
Wendy's, Jack in the Box, Burger King.
Most places have done away with the standard fountain drink dispenser and have these large machines that allow you to choose your drink yourself from a ton a options.
They look like this.
Would you like a Barq's root beer?
Why not choose between two different flavors of Barq's cream soda?
They've even got Powerade and Vitamin Water in these things.
I'm not sure how they get all the drinks in there but I have to assume that there are a lot of cords connecting to different boxes of soda in the back.
If not then it's some of magic I guess.
The reason it's so curious is because of the absolute abundance of flavors.
You can get standard things like Coke or Sprite.
You can also get some really unusual things though.
If you click on something like a Minute Maid lemonade you will see a ton of varieties.
You can see that there is even a Minute Maid Strawberry.
If you click on Coke you'll see something similar.
Vanilla Coke, Lime flavored Coke, all kinds of Cokes that you never even imagined.
It's a really cool concept because you can essentially get whatever drink that you want.
My favorite is Minute Maid Lime though.
I swear I could drink Minute Maid Lime all day everyday.
I usually just drink water with the occasional cup of coffee but when I splurge on some fast food I will often pick up one of these if I go to a place has a standing drink machine.
It often leaves me wondering though....
How do they get so many different drinks in those standing drink machines at your favorite fast food place?
The conspiracy theorist in me thinks it's all the same drink. The machine just hypnotizes us into thinking it tastes different. Wahahaha!
That is the best idea I've heard in a while. There aren't actually drinks on the menu just a rotating dial that spins and you get hypnotized by it.
I'm an idea guy. Feel free to use it in your writing :P
It only takes a little syrup to make a ton of soda. So they mix syrup and carbonated water together when dispensing saving a lot of space.
Well we have six fountain drink dispensers where I work and six giant boxes in the back.
Pretty sure it's magic...
It's the only logical conclusion.
Thats probably the bag in a box system, older model.
