Candy bars are a complete ripoff these days.

in #life9 years ago

When I was a kid you could get a large Milky Way or other similar candy bar for $0.25 to $0.33.

Everyone knew that a candy bar was worth about a quarter or maybe a little bit more.

That was for a good size candy bar too.

Then one day a lot of things started going up in price and candy bars were one of those things.

Instead of being a quarter they were nearly a dollar.

I think it was close to 10 years ago when this happened.

The price jumped from like a quarter to $0.60 or $0.70 and then it was $1 before you could even turn around.

Now if you can find a candy bar for $1 you're are pretty lucky.

I saw these little bitty candy bars while I was walking out of Walmart today.

They are literally the size of your finger.

They are only slightly bigger than a little kid size Twix bar.

I would say that they are about the size of a single Kit Kat.

They cost more than standard size candy bars used to cost.

$0.44 for one of these.

That's pretty hard to believe isn't it?

Who can afford candy bars I ask you?

Candy bars are a complete ripoff these days.
