Another Busy and Hectic Week! But I'm extremely Happy!
Success usually comes out to those who are too busy looking for it.
Another busy week for me. Lots of projects, exams, and school activities to meet. Team no sleep again. But, I am happy facing them. Though it is really a very tough journey, still I am fighting.
Pressure may be equal to Force over Area, but I defined it as an opportunity for growth. When you are pressured, you tend to do things in an unusual manner. You do things extraordinarily and that's what is happening right now. Very much pressured, but still I managed to meet them.
Thesis
This made the week like a hell. I was the in charge of making the boxes to be installed as a storage of our circuits. Our project is named "Home of the Future", which we meant the future of Philippine Home-Automation. As of my assessment, we are almost closer to completion - rating 65%. These boxes were difficult to be made, mainly because of inexperience and lack of equipment.
Power Supply (A Power Electronics Midterm Project)
This also made my week burn. I did not enjoy the holidays (Monday and Wednesday) and this upcoming Friday. Thought this project has been done, the documentation still needs to be edited to make it presentable and that it follows IEEE standard.
The goal of this project is simply to convert 220V - AC source into a 24-volt DC output with a minimum voltage of +- 1volt. This process is called rectification, or we are making a rectifier.
Another reason why this made me very stressful is that it tends to be I am the only one making this project. We are grouped by two and some by three, but my group mate has other things to do and that she can't do her job. I hate taking the full responsibility again, I hate it. But its okay, I understand her because she is currently working at the same time studying. It is just so sad that she doesn't care of anything.
Math Quiz Bowl
Another mind-blowing event. Consumed my 3 days just for studying. Though we won Congrats TEAM ENGINEERING!. We made it, and that we retain our long glory in this competition. Engineering has been very dominant in terms of Math Quiz Bowl mainly because that is our forte. Math is part of our blood, and the main reason why it is one of the most difficult courses.
With @mikekenlytungal, sadly the other teammate is not a member yet but he has plans to join. I am constantly following him up to join this amazing platform. The win was convincing, a landslide win for the College of Engineering. Something to be treasured and to be proud of. I was also part of the winning team last year, a back to back title for me :)
greattt!!
Sir @jassennessaj pleased to see you are enjoying your life at the university, and that you are doing your best to do well. We need more people like you in thethe workplace, in the world really.
Thanks for sharing. Your post helps me remember my engineering days back in UCSD in the 80's. All those lab sessions, long nights, and ramen meals are still very vivid to me.
Bai, if you need to make any more boxes check out the Fablab in UP Cebu. They have a CNC machine which comes out cheaper than hiring a panday. Congrats on your win btw!
Aww. Pang thesis raman bai. Then 3 ra needed namo. Hehe. Sslamat :)
