That pretty much sucks... it's on my bucket list to hit the next North American eclipse (and be within the totality)... I'll be right under the path for the April 28, 2024 eclipse - need to start planning for that now, as you say... luckily I don't have to go far - welcome to pitch a camper in my backyard - may have to clear that with my wife :-) - and may have a celeb cousin in town.
