I think the causality is that feminism and the modern world cause lower sperm count. I do not at all buy the mobile phones, toxins ++ hypothesis. As you mention, sperm count is highly depended on high testosterone and low cortisol levels. If you work in a cubicle all day and society tells you to restrict your masculine behaviour, this will inevitably decrease your testosterone level. Testosterone is actually very influenced by how dominant and man feels and his posture (head high, shoulders back etc.). The Western world is right now a tragedy and this just highlights it even more. Just one reminder is that there is always a fallacy when you compare sperm count today vs some decades ago. The equipments used are not the same at all. Probably visual counting back then. So I would take this with a grain of salt. But on the other hand, lower sperm count in non-dominant feminized western males makes perfectly sense. I would recommend the book Sperm Wars. It is not totally scientific, but a good read!
Thanks for the insight Janusface! But they have most likely used the same equipment today comparing western and non-western men. And comparing to them we have low sperm count. And other research point to that we have something like 50-60% lower testosterone levels than our parents! (gen-x'ers compared to baby boomers) I think it would be strange if not hormones and our food, water, soil etc and the compounding chemicals that we now have in our bodies don't have any sort of unknown cocktail-effect. But the feminization cubicle-theory could play a much bigger role (and of course it's a lot more fun explanation)
