I'd say ride them out a little longer, but start promoting steemit to your followers as where you are transitioning to. It would be awesome if you could keep the audience you've built up and help steemit grow. But ya I agree, those sites are annoying, since I joined steemit I've barely looked at them even though that's where the people I know in my daily life are usually active.
