Singer Featherweight Centennial 1851-1951 . For Sale
I love antiques and nostalgic items like old Typewriters. But while cleaning out a house I found this rare antique, a 1950's Singer Featherweight Sewing Machine, Centennial Edition.
I looked up some info on Singer Sewing Machines. It got started in 1851 by Isaac Merritt Singer in New York and is currently based in La Vergne Tennessee near Nashville. It was so successful within its first decade in the states that it opened a plant in Glasgow Scotland in 1867. It's been one of the world's most successful sewing machine companies ever since the 1860s.
As the centennial anniversary approached in 1951, Singer started making machines with special badges that read "A Century of Sewing Service 1851-1951" around the outside of the oval.
I put this on sale on Facebook for $300. A fella who fixes them for a living said I'd be lucky to get $150.

Is it still functional? Or can it be restored? Maybe it has better luck on Pawn Stars lol!
Dear How i can sell on peerhub ?
Its a beauty! I have an antique Brother machine that I found at goodwill that I love. It has a table like that as well. I had to oil it and replace a couple things, but with the internet, finding out how to fix these old things is easy. Good luck selling it!
a piece of history.
But serious! How cool is this golden oldie!
For sure this should be worth more than $150..it still runs right??
