Smokin'
The forest fires across the west continue, and the wind has shifted to bring a much heavier cloud of smoke into the valleys where I live. It's so dim it's like when the eclipse obscured 90% of the sun. The smoke is making it hard to breathe, and I have both a stomachache and a headache to boot. Stale campfire is the dominant scent everywhere.
There was one small fire that started about 6 miles (10 km) away and burnt about 10 acres (4 hectares) before being contained, but that's the worst so far locally. It's all billowing in from Montana, if I am judging the wind direction correctly.

Well, look on the bright side, at least we all smell the same, like campfire!
Ummmm, does that mean we can quit using deodorant? Since no one will notice anyway?
Was in Bend, Oregon a few weeks ago. The smoke gave me a sore throat but made for some unforgettable sunsets. Hope it passes. Worried about earthquakes over there now!
This is far more fire activity than usual. If only we could transfer some of the flood water to fires...

Begging for upvotes and follows in comments on someone else's posts is not cool. Please don't do it any more. You will eventually get flagged if you keep it up. The best way to get followers and upvotes is to contribute to other discussions and just get to know people.
A word that makes the reader sad, may the situation quickly recovered.
