History :-

Chhatra League leader Swapan Kumar Chowdhury, Jagannath University (then Jagannath College) Nazrul Islam, general secretary of the district unit BCL, and central student leader Shivneri Das , general secretary of the university unit, Hasanul Haque Inu and student leader Yusuf Salahuddin Ahmed were present at the meeting.
At the end of the discussion, based on the initial proposal of Kazi Aref, the decision was taken to create a yellow-colored map of Bengal in the red sun on the green land. Kamrul Alam Khan (Khasru) then seized a circle of red in a big piece of green cloth from a Bihari garage shop in New Market; Then East Map of Pakistan marking on the tracing paper with map book from Enamul Haque of 312 of Qayed Azam Hall (now titumir hall) of Yusuf Salauddin Ahmed and Hasanul Huq Inu University of Engineering. On March 2, 1971 , the first national flag was hoisted in the history of Bangladesh at Battala of Dhaka University . Abdur Rab . He was the Vice President of University of Dhaka University at that time . [6] The symbol of East Pakistan was made to symbolize the moon not to use it. According to the CIA World Factbook [2] [7] green color of the country was used to mean the green nature of Bangladesh. [8]
Sheikh Mujibur Rahman hoisted the flag on March 23, at his residence on the eve of declaration of independence. Later, in 1972 , Sheikh Mujibur Rahman's government asked Patua Kamrul Hasan to give a report containing the size, color and interpretation of the flag, except for the map between the designs of Shivnarayan Das . The revised form of Kamrul Hasan is currently the national flag of Bangladesh.

According to the Flag of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, 1972, the specific details of national flag sizes are given below:

• The 'national flag' will be dark green and there will be a red circle between the rectangular green color of length and
width of 10: 6.
• The red circle will be one-fifth radius of the flag's length. The vertical line drawn from the nine-twentieth part of the
flag's length and the horizontal line drawn from the point between the width of the flag will be the focal point of the
circle at the intersection point. That is, the center of the circle is the point of intersection of the straight line, drawn
by the middle of the nine point at the left point of the flag's length, and the middle of the width in the middle.
• The green background of the flag will be the Prussian brilliant green H-2RS50 parts per thousand and the red
rounded part will be Prussian Brilliant Orange H-RS60 Parts per thousand

The size of the use of :-

Different sizes of flats for building use are:
• 10 by 6 feet (3.0 by 1.8 meters)
• 5 by 3 feet (1.52 by 0.91 meters)
• 2.5 by 1.5 feet (760 by 460 mm)

Different sizes of flag for use in the automobile are:

A) 15 by 9 in (380 by 230 mm) (for big car)
B) 10 by 6 in (250 by 150 millimeters) (for small and medium size cars)

• The size of the table flag for use in international and bilateral events is 10 by 6 in (250 by 150mm)
Explanation: The length of the flag is 10 feet, the width will be 6 feet, the radius of the red circle will be 2 feet, the length of the width of the flag is 4 feet above the width, the intersection of the proportional line in the middle of the width will be the focal point of the red circle.

On the following days and on the occasion of the official and non-government buildings throughout Bangladesh and abroad, the flag of Bangladesh has to be lifted in the offices and consular posts of diplomatic missions:

(A) Birthday of the Prophet ( Eid-e-Miladunnabi )
(B) March 26th Independence Day
(C) Victory Day on December 16th
(D) any other day notified by the government
