THE LEANING PHILOSOPHY

Just this morning, my friend's mother had an unusual urge to take porridge (I still feel it came to her in a dream 😀). She took everyone by suprise as we had nothing in the house to prepare such which indirectly meant we would have to go on an unprepared hunt for the ingredients needed.

We took out and easily got everything needed save the vegetable (which was rather disappointing as its never scarce here) and given that it is almost impossible to prepare the porridge without the vegetables, we made up our minds to find it. We trekked the whole mile searching, knocked from stall to stall but still could not.

Just when we had spent about an hour and half in search of vegetables (to no avail I should add) we concluded that one of us has to run back and convince her to take tea with bread whilst the other treks back still searching for the vegetable in the case that any of the earlier unopened shops had it (guess who the trekker was).

It was during this return journey that I noticed, (upon a broken segment of the road), how a driver let his car lean leftwards to avoid damages from the bad portion. I smiled and thought 'smart' but upon recalculation, I discovered that he basically is going to have to drive this way the entire distance as the whole length of the road was similar and that he would be doing that at the expense of his car toppling over and he sustaining major injuries or even losing his life.

As this thought strolled through my little mind, I realized that it is the same way some persons deal with the challenges they face daily.

Sometimes we go through difficulties for a time in our lives (most times, just for a slight moment) but then we later drop in on some sort of success (whether sufficient to the extent we desired or just aid from a person).
When this has happened, we find out that we get filled with the inordinate desire lie back, feel comfortable and not try again. We suddenly adapt to the current state of part-wealth, part-success part-victory etc we've gotten feeling it's the best (ignoring potential dangers that exist).

The probability of our fall being high during our partial state of existence is about >60% (disputable). This is so as we are currently dependent on a source. What happens when our source crashes or when it breaks (denies aid/bends to public opinion included)? Whether we like it or yes, we're leaning on something at that particular time in our life and the sooner we quit leaning, the better for our dreams.

To get to a perfect state, we need to be independent.

A word of advice, if you're in a dependent state in your life, use the available resources to raise yourself to a proper state and be fully independent cause if your source falls, you'll fall as well and yours will be greater than his.

MORAL: you need to become independently stable so you forget you might ever be broke
