Blog #003 | Bought a car, one day later, already in for repairs!

The picture above isn't my car, mine is actually dark grey but I had it for less than 24 hours, so didn't even have time to take pictures of it haha!

So I went to London from my hometown of crawley, took me nearly 2 hours to find the dealer but was happily surprised by how friendly and professional the dealer was, not pushing me to buy the car, showed me everything, like the service history and mot paperwork.

The car was great on the test drive, so I bought it for £3500 (approx. $4550). The car came with a 6 month warranty which is reassuring if anything goes wrong, which I didn't think i'd need...

Drove it home, very smooth, very happy but then I park and the engine light comes on, I was like no for f@#! Sake as I was scammed before. The light went off after a few mins, so I thought I would take for a drive a few more times next day and it did it again, the car felt hot, look at the engine and it was so hot, you could cook an egg on it in seconds or get a burnt hand.

I called the dealer and they were very good and said they would pay for any repairs as I have the warranty, I was so relieved because I was expecting them to not even answer the phone as there are a lot of dodgy dealers out there. So not even 24 hours and my car is at a car garage a mile away but I'm ok as at least I can get this out the way and its being paid for.

So hopefully the repairs get done in a decent time because I haven't had a car for 6 months and have been a recluse ever since haha.
