Thursday and a new episode of "Simon & Ida" - a glimpse at the stormy sea!

in #life6 years ago (edited)

Hello guys! In this thursday episode we show you some pictures of our trips home.

The weather happened to be pretty stormy the day we filmed. Ida is talking about how we always let someone know when we are starting a boat trip (alone). This way at least someone is prepared to get help if you are in trouble and you phone runs out of battery and you can't reach anybody. You don't want to go out on the sea this time of year without someone knowing about it. If something happens and you are alone, you're screwed :( RESPECT the sea and know when too much is too much and do the decision to turn around rather than risk you life!

We already know what we can handle and what our boats can handle but still we can't afford to become cocky...
Enough with the drama, enjoy the vid and have a look at the supercute highlander cows :D

Hejsan!

Det är redan så mörka! Aren't you at least a bit afraid to go so fast with a boat when it's so dark?

Nesta gång du måste också nämna Steemit när du ask for frågor. Not only facebook and those other places, you know. :) Because, STEEMIT! :D

What kind of camera did you use on that part of the video where you sat beside the fireplace? Although the focus was sometimes where ever it wanted to be, the picture seemed to be really good. Just wondering. :)

Hej!

Yes, ofcourse I will mention Steemit next time we talk about commenting and questions..don't know why I didn't do it in this one :)

I'm not afraid to go fast in darknes but if the waves are really big you have to take it down a bit!

We are using a Canon 7D for the "slow parts"... It's the one we've got at the moment and there is now autofocusing in the middle of filming so that's a problem. We are thinking about buying a new camera more suitable for filming so any suggestions are welcome!

Autofocus on face is a good feature. Or keeping the focus in some pre determent point or object, even if it's moving. I haven't checked out what's new on the market, but I would think that those options I mentioned would be pretty standard features in a video camera. I have those features in my Sony video camera and it's few years old now.
