My Chinese wedding 我的中国式婚礼

At the end of 2017, we had a wedding in Shandong in December 30th.

There are a variety of wedding ceremonies, the wedding ceremony of my friends is a combination of Chinese and
western. The ceremony is divided into morning and noon, the Chinese ceremony was held in the morning and the Western-style wedding at noon.

I prefer a pure Chinese classic wedding, so we decided to cancel the morning show. A complete Chinese wedding will be held at the hotel at noon. Now I will share the basic process of Chinese wedding:

赶在2017年年底，完成了我的终身大事。12月30号我和亲爱的他在老家山东举行了婚礼。

现代的婚礼仪式多种多样，身边的同学们大多都是中西结合的婚礼仪式。分为早场和午场，早晨新娘进门前举行中式婚礼，中午在饭店开饭前举行西式婚礼。

我更喜欢纯中国式的古典婚礼，所以决定取消早场，将所有环节定在酒店的舞台举行。下面就跟大家分享中式婚礼的基本过程：

早晨7：30 am

Dress up and wait for the bridegroom.

我已化上红妆，穿好嫁衣，心怀喜悦，等待相公来接我了。

My good sisters helped to dress up the room, put up the words of "xi" and hit a lot of balloons. Hide my wedding shoes.
Help me to make up my dress and let me sit on the bed. They have prepared a lot of problems to test the bridegroom.

这个时候娘家的姐妹和我闺蜜们也都已经来到了我的房间，帮忙装饰了房间的墙壁，贴上大大的喜字，挂好彩色的气球，藏好了我出嫁穿的鞋子，帮我整理好衣裙让我端坐在床上……她们也在激动着准备各种小游戏和问题用来考验新郎。

8：00 am

I heared that the bridegroom's team came to the door. In China, the bridegroom needs to answer the question like: Tell the bride's nickname can't less than ten. To send a lot of red envelopes to the girls. At last you can see the bride.
相公带着迎亲的队伍来到了我的房间门口，坐在床上的我听的到门外的热闹声和许多人欢快的脚步。在中国新郎想要接到新娘首先必须攻破新娘闺蜜团的重重包围，要应付各种难题，要掏出许多的红包，历经重重阻碍后在可以见得到自己的新娘。

The bridegroom uses enough red envelopes to consolation of the girls. Finally, he gave me the flowers, and put on the ring for me.

幸好相公备足了红包，不善于回答问题的他，撒了好多的红包买通了闺蜜团，进入房间给我送上绣球，为我戴上戒指……

9：30 am

相公接到我上了婚车

Say goodbye to mom and Dad, It is unavoidable to tear up the eyes with tears. Mom told me:"Today is an important day, to be happy! Girls have to be married when they grow up. Don't cry, you need to get married beautifully.

此前与爸爸妈妈告别，难免热泪盈眶，一个拥抱饱含了许许多多的留恋与不舍。走上婚车后，妈妈过来告诉我：“今天是大喜的日子，要开开心心的，女儿长大了都会经历这一过程，哭花了妆就不漂亮了。” 简简单单的话语，其实母亲有多不舍只有她自己心里知道。不敢想象今年过年只剩下爸妈两个老人在家，那种情景……

10：30 am

When I came to my mother-in-law's house, the bride needs to step on the cake and get off the car. Meaning: to be promoted step by step.
到了公婆家，下车要踩年糕，寓意：步步高升

The bride can't touch the door when I enters the door. We need to eat dumplings after entering the door. When we eat dumplings, someone will ask us: "Is the dumpling raw?" Now, we have to answer:" 生、生、生！" (There is no appropriate English translation） Meaning: To have children.
进门时不能碰到门，有相公的妹妹们左右相护。进门后吃水饺，吃饺子的时候，有人会问饺子生不生，新娘新郎一定要异口同声说：生、生、生！寓意：早生贵子

11：58 am

At this time the Chinese wedding ceremony began in the hotel. The first is the groom with a big red satin holding the bride across the saddle.( Implied meaning: peace and peace) Across the brazier. (meaning: thriving) Then go into the palace of marriage together.
此时在酒店里开始了中国婚礼仪式，首先是新郎用一条大红绸缎牵着新娘跨过马鞍（寓意：平平安安），跨过火盆（寓意：兴旺蓬勃，红红火火）走入喜堂。

The bride is covered with red silk, the groom should use gold to pick the veil to show the face of the bride. Some shyness.
Then we need to cut our hair, just a few hair, put in a small bag. Meaning: husband and wife by the first marriage.
Then drink a toast, and give tea to our parents.
拜堂成亲（Unable to translate）
After a photo of the family and friends and have lunch, now the wedding was finished.

这时新娘是盖着盖头的，接下来便要新郎用金秤杆来挑盖头，以见新娘真容。哈哈此时有些害羞呢！
挑下盖头后需要行结发礼，夫妻各剪一绺头发装入荷包中，寓意：结发夫妻
然后喝交杯酒，中式婚礼的交杯酒用的不是酒杯，而是用小葫芦瓢儿，这里忘记拍照片了，寓意：夫妇二体合一，同甘共苦（《芈月传》里有一堂喜宴也用到了葫芦瓢，称作“合卺酒”）
接下来即是：向双方父母敬茶改口叫爸妈，而后拜天地，拜高堂，夫妻对拜等
最后与亲朋合影后，与贵宾敬酒吃喜宴。至此，婚礼便结束了~
