Are we living in simulation?
Are we living in simulation? Like GTA or SIMS.
Already there is artificial intellect that communicates with people. Have won human in chess, its learning by playing against itself. Already A.I beated human also in No-limit poker holdem heads up.
We're at an interesting point in history (ie. computer age just before AI)
Research project. In some base reality, we're like an alternate timeline just before big peek in technology.
We're a form of entertainment. Like some ultimate version of reality TV.
We're a game. Like the ultimate version of Second Life, SIMS or Grand theft auto.
We're an educational program. The year is actually 3000 AD and everyone gets to live a few lifetimes in a simulation to show "how things used to be". Perhaps there's a different economic or social system.
We're a recording of some sort. This one really raises the question of free will though.
There's probably a lot more reasons than these few. But you get the idea.
Thank you for your post. One way to look at reality is to realize that every choice is another parallel reality. By this concept your intentions command your choices in order for you to create the reality you want. Does this make sense to you?
Everything you see confirms new parallel reality from your perspective. Or something like that: How do we know that we are not already in virtual reality game and this technological raise would have already been made already before?
That is an excellent question, however does it really matter? If you disregard the entire external world when meditating you can create a new reality within yourself. Would you agree that this is also a virtual reality?
Nothing really matters. It's just fun to know things is deeper level. I think its virtual reality also in dreams but they only maintain for time you spent in that reality. In mind you can make things that cannot be made in physical world, so its virtually real. What makes this interesting is that our common world as we know it, might be also virtual when we look it at quantum perspective.
It is definitely interesting to dwell on these thoughts but the fact that many people believe their internal world (thoughts awereness) is not as real as the external world is something I hope we can turn around. We rely on very much external stimuli when we in fact are truly happy when we realize we don’t live in lack but in abundance. You create your personal reality through your own personality.
