RE: Let's Talk—This Is Why You Must Never Let The Fire In You Burn Out!

First of all, I'm glad that you referenced Atlas Shrugged, it's an excellent read. Ayn Rand gets a bad rap. Of course not all leaders of industry (or perhaps very few) are so virtuous as the characters in her book, so it speaks about a small niche, when so many bad examples abound.

It can be difficult to find the right things to focus our energy on. Societies seem designed to keep people busy working on basic necessities, instead of on the challenges which inspire us and make the world a better place. When not enslaved by the whims of one of the structures of power and dominance, many seek solace in entertainment.

It's far better to be "entertained" by something that offers financial reward, and also makes the world a better place.

Personally, I chose to live with nothing, rather than to "buy in" to a world view that doesn't serve the people who serve it. I've spent many years experimenting with ways to live outside of the expectations of others, and to live somehow in a way that feels good to me. I am very grateful to finally have found a community where all of my various skills and talents have a place, and are finding appreciation.

Physical limitations aside, I shall Steem On!
