1 Under The Belt - From The Bottom Looking Up
Hello Steemers and happy day before gobble day. Just a quick check-in and update to my first post. People must think I'm crazy round here, writing a short story for my first blog. Who does that? What could he hope to accomplish without a smidgeon of a following? I'm here to report that though I'm a spanking new baby Steemer, I'm at least a toddler when it comes to online marketing.
What does that mean? I suppose one could translate those words into an understanding that online work starts small. Somewhere we all hope beyond hope that a first post will go viral, but reality sets in shortly and most of us give up. If you're new or you've been in those shoes before, don't give up. Wanna know the number 1 quality that successful entrepreneurs share? It's no big secret that they don't give up.
Does not giving up have a timeline? No, it doesn't. Life gets in the way of our efforts and things get pushed to the side. Table them for a while if you must. I have. But keep them on the backburner because life also clears up. Put your head down and it will work.
Two years ago I joined a group known by many marketers. With no internet skills other than a basic knowledge of how to use a computer, I jumped right in. I have to tell you it took some trust, but the cost wasn't outrageous so I took the leap of faith. Are things incredible for me now? No. Have I seen incredible successes? Yes.
I currently own 2 websites: one in the saltwater fishing niche, and one in internet marketing. The marketing site is developing slowly, cause it's hard to share what I don't yet know. It may be time for some re-concerted attention there. Writing about fishing comes naturally as every angler knows how to tell a good tale.
So there you have it. 2 years and life got in the way, but there's been no giving up. So I welcome you aboard my Steemit train. I guarantee there will be times that I fall silent, but if I can stay on track the caboose will keep pushing. If you care to check out my offsite works, let me know what you think. I'll drop the links below. Don't eat too much and take my advice. I rarely use it. :)
