Chess is out, scrabble is in

So it's Easter weekend! No school, no work and people having holidays in one house! Usually on Holy Saturday, before we go to the beach near our place or just a bit further...but the heat wasn't cooperating, we preferred staying in.

Buying a scrabble board last week with still no chance of playing it, SCRABBLE is the name of the game. 

Two scrabbles to start with...the heat was on with our youngest player scoring the 1st scrabble. But to cut it short, neither of those who scored the scrabbles and the top scorers won the game, it was the unexpected with the lowest score all throughout. Although she got her winning piece with assistance, all credit was hers...till another game.

Green mangoes

Did i say before that we got 3 different kind of mangoes in our backyard? The native mangoes are those yellow fruits that need to be eaten ripe.

Green Indian mangoes!

NEVER, NEVER EAT THEM RIPE! Although these fruits never reach the ripened stage unless they are out of reach or hidden, NO ONE eat them ripe. Unless one is having difficulty in chewing them, my old aunt before for example.

In our place, this can be a daily occurence so long as there are available mangoes in the backyard or in our neighbours, some neighbours even let them to rot if not fond of it. 

So, you want friends to get together? Just mention there are green indian mangoes in the house with sauteed alamang or anchovies. And better have enough of it.
