HOW STEEMIT AFFECTS PEOPLE'S LIVES
Steemians have a variety of reason why they joined Steemit. Some may be for the purpose of getting to know new friends. Some may be using Steemit as an expression of their selves. Mostly may be joining Steemit to earn money.
But looking at the bigger picture, STEEMIT has a big impact on Steemians' lives. Even those who are not members of this site! How?
A few hours ago, we had our first meeting with other Steemians. We talked about Steemit things like how to create an account, how to post, how to upvote and many more.
Then I realized that Steemit is more than just a way of earning. It creates groups that help people as well. I heard that Steemians here in Cebu are invading Sinulog this year. They would gather and provide comfort to Cebuanos and its visitors. It was really nice to know that I become a part of this community.
Using Steemit will also teach its members how to give back to the community and create a better society where everyone is connected and updated to everything that is new and old and unique.
I am still new to Steemit and I am always open to new things. Looking forward for more and better things here in Steemit!

Well for now im actually just wondering how i can give back to the community, how to progress on steemit and some helpful insights that could help a newbie like me? P. S. Ive read posts about this but some parts confuses me, i feel like in still on the surface of the ocean haha.

It is cool that in the Philippines, there is such a strong SteemIt following and community. How I wish we can have that in Singapore too...

Yea there are a lot of Filipinos on Steemit and I like how the Filipinos community is generating sincere and good content. I think you guys are benefiting Steemit as a whole.

This is good, over here we have been visiting motherless babies and other homes to offer relief materials to them all through Steemit.... Steemit just adds a bit good to everything!
Being part of an organization of students, we are also giving back to the community through our corporate social responsibility.
Another Steemit group on cebu. Haha, another good thing about Steemit is that we have another reason now to met and eat. I really like the eating part. Pit senyor! Steem on mga k-bisdak...

Same here, I might not be able to go to the City. Duty calls. I'm online though so I'm pretty sure lot's of posts will be about Sinulog on that day.
Im a newbie like you sir (just started yesterday) ! Im also a filipino haha, i am also trying to learn more about how i can contribute to the community but there are still alot of things that i dont quite understand, but im starting to really love steemit and see its real purpose 😀

You make an excellent point that SteemIt can benefit people who may not even be members. People may find information on SteemIt that they would not have found elsewhere. This is something we may forget when we post: people stumble across our post to discover our knowledge and this platform.

Yes! I TOTALLY AGREE. When we had our orientation and the speaker told us that we should make posts that are informative, I already expected that I will learn many things here in STEEMIT. Not just facts but also those opinions from other people.
This was one lovely read. Brief and inspiring! My team and I (new though) started out on a publicity campaign some weeks back to create awareness and help more people join the community. And we have been putting plans together to contribute different forms of social empowerment in our community and state. This is really beautiful and inspiring to know there are many of us on here with the same mindset. Keep it up!
