It's about people

How often do you do something for someone else? Not just your friends and family but complete strangers. And without expecting anything in return. Just out of kindness.

I just watched a clip from one of the business guys I follow. He's about the same age as I am and has achieved tremendous success in just the past eleven months.

He talked about how at the airport he offered to pay for the entire line at Starbucks simply because he wanted to do something good for the people around him.

Next thing you know, a lady from the line walks up to him and tell him she works for United. The Honolulu department to be exact.

She gave him her phone number and told him that if he ever wanted to go to Honolulu he should text her because she would give him super cheap first class deals. Employer discounted cheap.

Isn't that awesome?

When you make a conscious effort to do good, good things, in turn, happen to you.

Everybody always says it's about people and connecting with strangers because you never know what someone might be able to do for you. But most people don't live that. They keep their head down, working on their stuff, thinking this constant grind will make them successful.

In reality, it's about the people. It's about going out, and going out of your way, to meet new people. Do something good for them. And maybe 100's of people down the line someone will return the favor. That's the mindset you need to have.

Think about it

It's the same thing here on Steemit.

It's about who you know, how well you know them. And, more importantly: do they know you?

Do they know you as someone that keeps giving value, helps the community and has a somewhat interesting story?

Get people to care.
