FirstBlood is a platform built using Ethereum. It's still in closed alpha but they are slowly letting ICO investors join. The purpose of it is to enable money to be integrated to gaming seamlessly. Want to challenge your friends for 5 dollars over Dota 2? It can be done with just a few clicks through FirstBlood. Same applies for strangers.

The platform itself uses tokens called 1ST - 1ST is the currency used for bets, at least for the start.
1ST does serve another interesting purpose. By enabling yourself to become witness, you can earn 1ST tokens by just keeping your computer online. This is like becoming witness here in Steemit, but simpler. Your chance of becoming witness depends on the amount of 1ST you hold. Investors should take a deeper look in to this.
E-sports growing rapidly
E-sports is still in its infancy but the total market is predicted to grow to 1,1 billion dollars by year 2019. And FirstBlood will be offering a chance to play matches for money in every major e-sport game. Something to think about.

Indeed. They will first release Dota 2 then LoL and after those CS:go and Overwatch. Hopefully users can play Overwatch using FirstBlood within year.
