Indiscriminate Use of Antibiotics and Its Bad Effect on Bangladesh

in #life6 years ago (edited)
The discovery of effective antibiotics against diseases and microbial infections in the history of medical science is widely recognized as a milestone. Normally 'antimicrobial' we understand the effect of naturally acquired or artificially prepared medicines who against viruses, bacteria, fungus, or parasites in the human body. Since its first discovery in 1928, due to its proper use, the life of man has become a safe and secure state. On the other hand, due to its unwanted and uncontrolled use, long-term disease-germs have become effective against antibiotics, known as antimicrobial resistances.

It is found that in our country, 3% of patients are infected with tuberculosis. And for those who have a history of treatment with antibiotics, this rate is 15.4 percent. Effective ciprofloxacin medicine is currently almost ineffective against gonorrhea. Today, 75 percent of typhoid fever germs are antimicrobial resistances. Many antimicrobial resistant typhoid, anti-quinine malaria, kala-azar (black fever) has become a resounding panic in our country or the world. Tetracycline-resistant cholera bacteria spread in rural areas.

Genetic mutations of disease-germination, mutation, antimicrobial predictive, unforeseen and indiscriminate use, according to the doctor's advice on the appropriate level and timely treatment violence, medical treatment without prescription, treatment of adulterated and fake or rejected drugs in the market, In case of illegal drug companies False information is attracted to the doctors, patients, or to buy drugs, inadequate treatment of healthcare providers, and not the proper rules regarding the use of antimicrobial procedures etc this antimicrobial resistances process is making more comprehensive and accelerating. On the other hand, antibiotic germs easily enter the human body through the food produced due to excessive use of antibiotics in order to increase the production of livestock and agriculture. As a result, many of the previously used medicines have been ineffective in treating the above germs. Nowadays more expensive and relatively more side-effects medicines are needed for treatment. That is why, the medical costs of people and death rates are increasing. Human productivity is decreasing; so the overall economic system of the state is under pressure.

Since antimicrobial Resistance has become a deadly health problem in the world including our country. The following techniques can be followed for the prevention. For example, there is no antibiotic use without the advice of an experienced doctor; Seeking the appropriate levels of medicines and appropriate medicines according to the doctor's advice; If possible before using antibiotics for any infectious disease, it should be used only if the sensitivity of effective antibiotics against the disease is proved to be effective, Unnecessary use in common diseases such as viruses, fever, cough, diarrhea is absolutely inappropriate. If needed, the patient can be taught about antibiotics and its proper use, as well as the unnecessary use of antibiotic resistance. In this case, the government and the media including doctors can create mass awareness among the people around the world. All campaigns containing false information about drug use must be stopped. Above all, our country's antibiotic use policy at the national level for proper use today is the demand of time. Because our neighboring countries including India, Sri Lanka and Malaysia have antibiotic use specific policies. Therefore, if the action is not taken concurrently at national and international levels for the prevention of this problem then our human civilization can be defeated in the fight against microbes. In the language of science fiction, the whole world will become a human being without a desert, where it will be only bacterial violence.

That's true, availability is one of the most reason for abuse of antibiotics. Illiteracy of people also one of them. Thanks for application.

I think many people should see this
And my mom included she takes these drugs all the time most times without prescription
Thinking she is helping her self
Anyway thanks for this info

After so much use of antibiotics the bacteria become inmune to them. Regars @iftekhar

Yes....... You are absolutely right..

Great post mate! I wrote on this topic a while back, and I think it's awesome to see people continuing to bring this up as an issue! There is so little that we can do without proper antibiotic stewardship!

Yah you are right. This post is very important for Bangladesh (my country). People are not aware about antibiotic due to lack of education. I appreciate you and thank for tour relevant post 😊.

When people take antibiotic and end up without finished the course and continue doing it, it create resistance of that antibiotic. The bacteria get chance to protecting its new generation against that antibiotic. And next level that antibiotic do not work on that patient. The consultant suggest for new antibiotic for that patient. Thus resistance of antibiotic keep increasing if end up without finished course and taking it irregularly . The last level is no more antibiotic work on that patient.

Yes you are absolutely right. thanks for adding.
