The Earth, She Cries ... these are no tears of joy
I walk on her, feet stepping softly, no need for echoes through her crust
sad faces makes sad places, the one I live in has run out of joy
the trees, their branches drooping, tell me their own story
deep within their roots lies a place with no evil, yet the branches, their leaves, they tell the story of the present
I had the luck and misfortune to be born in this place called Estados es Unidos
what luck to be born in the most magnificent country on Earth
from a young age we are bred, and we are branded
like sheep, herded through school systems
tought to think by unthinking, learn by not listening
we have no choice in this matter, no say for our own truths
yet they tell us we are the most free of them all
i pledge no longer to this lady liberty
my heart is my compass, and I no that I shall not want as long as my feet stay firmly planted on the ground, and my mind stays free of fear
the song the sing to me falls on deaf ears ... you have lost me US of A ... you can have my spirit no more
will you stand with me ... or will you stay behind and brayyy ?
