The skies looked down upon us and laughed.
"What do you know about love?" , they asked.
"What could mortals ever know about the undying love between celestial beings?
How could mortals ever compare?"
"With kindness." I say.
"With all the hate around, when a sliver of kindness comes out in the most unexpected manner, love is born.
With all the blood that's spilt, when a person leaves the Warfield to see their child for the first time; it's not about hate or anger anymore.
It's about love.
When a person has been knocked to the groud, over and over again, beaten to a pulp;
But gets up each time and spreads hope to everyone around them, love is born.
Our love may never be immortal, our love may never be legendary.
But when mankind loves, oh when mankind loves,
Even the earth smiles in a silent tremble.
The breeze slyly knocks the leaves off the ground.
Seasons change.
The flowers bloom and the oceans rise.
When mankind loves, everything falls into place."
