Take a Pause

We have this connection with nature. It feels like a spiritual one. The air. The trees. The birds. There's this movement and energy as if life were a dance. This is what I noticed as I was spending some daddy daughter time outside. I am intentionally going to cut this post short because I really want you to slow down and experience this video as best as you can.

Be aware of the open spaces of the video. The pauses. The breath. The sounds. The colors. Take the time now to really give your self some head space. There's no rush to finish this video. Time is your friend in this moment. Getting outside and reconnecting with nature can melt stress and leave you feeling recharged. Much love and peace to everybody.

What is it about nature that makes you feel relaxed when you are there?

What's something you like about being in nature?

@humanearl sir...
This my answers for your questions...

  1. What is it about nature that makes you feel relaxed when you are there?

I think it has more to do with how we've civilized ourselves, that is, living in complex societies, where our lives are dictated by appointments and schedules. Nature relaxes us because we are often immersed in nature on our leisure time while we are there for its own sake and when we don't have to worry about schedules. Check out this old photo of this couple walking in the White Mountains.

  1. What's something you like about being in nature?

I love nature. First and foremost because I am a part of it. I feel that connection with all of it. All the life I see; I am related to it. All of it, from the trees and grass and flowers to the birds and ants and wombats. At some pont in the evolutionary tree we had a common ancestor. Beautiful!

And the air we breath, the breeze we feel, the sun on our face, we have evolved to fit in with all that like a perfect glove. It is all part of who we are, how we came to be.

I don't mind nature at its wildest either. The blazing thunder storm or crashing waves. Humbling to watch.

Then there's the terrifying; the roaring bush fire or belting hurricane or tragic tsunami or earthquake. Reminders that we are small.

Nature is timeless, we are not, either individually or as a species. The purest way to be reminded that life is precious and short is to simply watch nature from within it.

Cheers~~~

I love a good thunder storm. It's perfect sleeping weather. We must value out time in nature and enjoy it while we can.

To be close to nature is really a blessing and our urge to remain near it is perhaps coded in our genes. For thousands of years we human beings, like other species, had lived very close to clean environment and very close to nature.

The time we spend with our family is the most valuable time for us. The love of children is not matched by so many powerful things on this world. Children are like angels. They have pure heart, mind and soul.

I am really pleased to see you enjoy spending your time with your cute little angel. Nature has bestowed upon you kindness in shape of your lovely daughter. I appreciate you that you are spending quality time with your daughter.

Your words are god to the soul. It makes me fell happy to be a part of my daughter's life.

I bought 14 acres in the Ozarks so I could immerse myself into nature at my every whim. Being in nature, for me, is like feeling the pulse of the universe. Its a way for me to root myself and feel connected with every living thing around me.

I like your train of thought, here is my tiny upvote and I have followed you!

You live near @papa-pepper?

Thanks for that.

I do! We met for the first time just last week. I live in the Southern MO Ozark Region.

I spend at least 6 hours a week in my spot i named "relief". It has mostly trees around and there's this cool breeze that feels so special there. I do go there to always meditate because it is always calm and noiseless. Whenever i go there i feel alive again, more focused than i came.

I like how you gave your chill spot a name. It's good to have a place to go and get away for a bit

Being in a small boat in a big ocean during a tremendous storm is about as close to nature as one can get, but not very relaxing.

Modern man in developed countries has been 'programmed' by experience to avoid the more strident presentations of nature and 'soak up' those evidences of nature that are comfortable and pleasant.
I love a thunderstorm when I can witness it from the relative safety of my sheltered porch. But I am not relaxed at such a time. Rather, I am stimulated by the sights, smells, and sounds around me.

Basically, nature is a great teacher. Whether she is 'behaving' or on a rampage, we tend to 'listen' and learn. For our distant ancestors, it was a matter of survival. For us it is life enrichment.

Concrete jungles have popped up everywhere. It can have negative effects on your health.

I like thunderstorms too. They help to sleep well.

Nature for me in the first place - it's pacification.
modern people give very little time to peace and recreation in nature.
I like to visit the forest in search of mushrooms, this is called "quiet hunting" - it calms nerves very much and helps to balance the balance. You are on one with yourself on one with nature, you are immersed in thoughts and in time you understand that everything around is a fuss. You start to enjoy the moment. In the woods clean air - this is useful for a city dweller.
But I also like rainy weather. This allows me to clear my mind and enjoy the moment of what is happening. It is difficult to convey in words - it needs to be felt.
Thank you

I would love to go hunting for mushrooms. I know nothing about foraging but I've always thought it was cool. I like how you wrote that. It was relaxing just to read it.

@humanearl, extremely brilliant discussion post sharing. It's pretty awesome Dtube video. Yep...I always stay nature every time. Nature gives up lot of facilities to humans. Our heart soul always attracted with nature. Our breath, power, life staying with nature. She's our second mother. Without her can't live any humans. Trees, mountains, flowers, animals etc all are indeed this subject. Trees creating humans much needed Oxygen air. If so why peoples cut down huge trees. If humans cut down one tree I decide to grow 10 plants on the floor. Much appreciated to discussing about our second mother of nature. If I have free some time I go to my nearest small forest area and stay alone to meditation. It create me deserve environment to meditate. Then I expand my spirit and deep thoughts. Why I'm loving to nature? Why I posted every blogs about nature. I'm really nature lover in this platform. I feel free there. Didn't remind my anythings. Stress free with mixing environment.
Stay blessed.

I'm glad you found something to post about that your really love. I can tell by your words that you really love it.

My favorite part about nature is mountains although I don't have any mountains near me.

Hiking and climbing mountain great part and best experience to our life. Unfortunately bad to hear you haven't mountain nearest of you. But I'm pretty sure one you do that.

In my view point nature is something I like every aspect of it.like
"the sunrise & the sun sets"
Sunrise gives the hope, sunsets let me refrain from ego.
"winter,summer,rains"
Winter gives me to HODL my persistency.
Summer helps me to do hard work.
Rains the pleasant smell if soil that gives me the hope.
"the calamities" gives me fear of Almighty.

Basically I love the every part of the nature & try to take out best thing for me from it.

In other words there's a time for everything. Each season for me does give me different feelings too. The fall is my favorite season. I like the color change and the weather

I love the sunset. It always remind me that it will rise again.
I love the moon, especially when it is a full moon; Makes remember folk tales grandma told us when we were little boys.
I love the waves upon the ocean. What peace it brings to the soul.

Nature is beautiful; nature is full of hope and nature heals.

@tolustx This is why I would love to have my living arrangements setup to where I can enjoy it more.

the fresh air the positives vibes refreshes me up i sit down relax and enjoy every moment of it without any stress or thinking too much about anything

Right. The stress melts away. I agree with what you said.
