A Cry for Change
Dear steemians and my fellow Nigerian students, I greet you all in the name of our Lord Jesus. Peace be unto you.
Here am I in my small white house lost in thoughts.
This is my final year; a chemical engineering student. I know not how to use Aspen Hysys.
Yet they say I'm doing well academically.
I am forced to spend hours cramming formulas so as to please my lecturer, I am coherced to read irrelevant materials while my peers in the developed world are generating new ideas and solving the world present crises.
I use phones, I utilise technology, I'm studying engineering, yet I know not how to use Math lab or Spreadsheet professionally; they say I'm doing well.
Shall I affect the world by doing well in class?
Today I challenge my self and I challenge you as well. It is not just well to do well in class: do well in understanding of things greater than exam questions, do well for the nation, let the world know that yes even in a mist of "never do well " Nigerians, there still exist some exceptional chemical engineers.
