I am afraid that time is running out on us. Aren't you? If not, why not? Do you have some special secret that keeps your time from evaporating?
Are you going to be just the same twenty years from now? Are you, perhaps, some immortal being that I've just stumbled upon?
Perhaps you are.

Though most of you are not. Most of you are mortals, just like me. And your time is slipping out from under you, just as mine is. You are soon going to die. And you have very little time to do all the things you've set out to do – to say 'I love you', to touch the sky and walk the moon, to watch the sunset or to learn how to ride that bike.
Time is very limited, so what do you do?

If you're like me, which is, in and of itself a stupid assumption (we're all different), but let's roll with it. If you're like me, you prioritize, you create a list in your head, a list of those things that you want to do, but with an order.
You decide what you want to do first, what's the most important to you. And it's always a painful decision, because there are more things on the list and you don't want to take away from any of them. But some are less important than others and that's the truth of life and if you don't wanna lose the game, you have to set up an order.

What you care about most and what you care about least. And then, you're a good little boy or girl and stick to that.

Ideally.

But things don't often go ideally, do they? We often get side-tracked, you often get lost in the details of life and forget the goal. You lose sight of what's important, whatever that is.
So that – making a list and sticking to it – is hard enough as it is. Then what can you do?

Well, you can hope for a stay of sentence. You can cross your fingers that maybe you get more time, maybe through some miracle you get more time than the rest and you do get to do everything on the list.
Maybe you do. Maybe there is some secret stash of time that you'll get to tap into someday and get a postponement of your impending execution. Maybe you'll never get executed, who knows, maybe by the time you're old, they will have found a cure for death? Could happen.
Anything could.

But betting on that is a very tricky business. 'Cause you're betting on something that's to come, on something that's happening somewhere in the future. And that's a very dangerous bet, much like any gamble, 'cause you could win. Or not. And you just might find yourself at that point in life, be it when you're 50, 80 or dead, when you had imagined you'd get more time and find that time's up.

Now, what do you do? Well, nothing, because time's up, you've lost the chance to do anything, because you were so sure you'd get a second chance. But the thing is, you might not get a second chance. You only get the chance that is now.

So let me ask that again – NOW what do you do?
