Ich dacht ich mache meiner Frau eine Freude und bringe ihr zu unserem 15. Jahrestag eine rosa Rose als Überraschung mit. Doch in Sachen Überraschung ist meine Frau mir um Meilen voraus.
Natürlich hat sich meine Frau über die Rose gefreut, doch kaum war ich durch die Tür rein, sagte sie: „Willst du dir noch was Anderes anziehen, wir müssen jetzt los, sonst kommen wir zu spät? Und wir müssen ziemlich lange fahren, willst du vorher noch was essen, oder was zu essen mitnehmen?“
Ich war natürlich etwas verdutzt, wollte mir aber die Überraschung nicht verderben lassen. Also haben wir die Kinder bei Oma abgegeben und sind losgefahren. Wohin wusste ich noch nicht. Ich merkte nur, auf der Autobahn ging es nach Norden.
Wir fuhren an Köln vorbei, weiter Richtung Ruhrpott. Und dann viel mir ein, dass sie vor Wochen etwas von einem alt-J Konzert in Köln gesagt hatte. Aber sie verneinte die Frage ob wir auf ein Konzert gingen. Hat mich ganz schön reingelegt!
Wir haben in Essen zwei Karten abgeholt, die meine Frau relativ günstig auf Ebay gekauft hat, und sind dann auf ein super geiles Konzert von alt-J in Köln gefahren.
Ich muss sagen, obwohl wir insgesamt mit Rückfahrt über 5 Stunden im Auto verbracht haben, hatte ich schon ewig nicht mehr so einen geilen Abend.
Als Vorgruppe hat Marika Hackmann gespielt, die auch ziemlich gut war.
Doch alt-J war der Hammer. Super krasse Lichtshow und der unverwechselbare groovige Sound der Jungs aus Leeds.

We drove past Cologne, on towards Ruhrpott. And then tell me that a few weeks ago she had said something about an alt-J concert in Cologne. But she negated the question of whether we went to a concert. Made me crazy!
We picked up two tickets in Essen, which my wife bought relatively cheap on Ebay, and then drove to a super cool concert by alt-J in Cologne.
I have to say that although we spent a total of 5 hours driving back in the car, I have not had such an awesome evening forever.
The opening act was played by Marika Hackmann, who was also pretty good.
But alt-J was awesome. Super blazing light show and the unmistakable groovy sound of the guys from Leeds.
