How to spot a Psycopath

in #life6 years ago (edited)

People think that only people like serial killers can be psycopaths, but that is not true. After reading this, you would be surprised, really surpised in fact, to discover that some people you know really fall into this category. So, lets see the traits of a pyscopath.

1. They are charming
People generally like them, as they are well-mannered and delightful. They almost always give a good first impression.

2. They never feel guilt
When a normal person hurts someone, he/she would normally feel bad about it. But the funny thing about Psycopaths is that they never feel guilt after hurting someone. Either they would put the blame on the other person or simply deny any responsibility.

3. They are narcissists
They have an inflated ego, and would like everyone else to serve them. In other words, they don't want to be anything less than a CEO.

4. They lie, steal and cheat to get ahead
A psycopath would literally do anything to get ahead, even if it means stealing, cheating and lying to others. However, they plan their moves well in advance, so as to leave as little clues of their illegal activites as possible. They are usually intelligent and make great con artists.

5. They are very manipulative
They don't feel any empathy for others. However, they are great actors, and people often have the impression that they are kind and genuine persons, until they get cheated by them of course!

So, have you ever met a person with the above mentioned traits? In other words, have you ever met a Psycopath? I would love to read your stories!

Sort:

I never met any Psycopath.. But !^months before my friend told his story. He said that he lived next door to a Psycopath for about 13 years. It was pure hell, and my family still suffers from his impulsive criminal activity to this day. There was no middle ground. He was unable to just live peacefully next to anyone without interacting with them in some way

I'm a bit curious about what sort of criminal activity he was doing :)

Yeah, I have a colleague who fits the criteria...For so long he posed as my friend and when time came he took advantage of me....
And to add insult to injury he behaves like he haven't done anything...Plays dumb.

Such jerks are more common than what you think :)

Yeah...but what to do...I can't change my positive nature because of these kind of jerks...
I say to myself "always forgive but never forget"

In all most every student's life, there exists a psychopath in their class. I have also one. To be frank, he has all most all the characteristics mentioned above. Only thing I could do is to ignore as much as possible. He used to irritate and acts like he is the one who knows everything and everyone should respect him.
