The Process of Making Charcoal From Coconut Shell by Using the Kitchen Roasting (Furnace) Traditional
Hallo Steemian's
This time I want to share something interesting to you all, yesterday I streets around the area of Aceh Besar. unwittingly I see some larger furnace and it was something that I had never seen before. with curiosity I immediately went and saw there were so many coconut shells around the furnace, then I asked one of the workers regarding the usefulness of the furnace and coconut shells. After that he explained to me that the furnace was the point to burn coconut shells to make charcoal. This is new and exciting for me, and I wanted to share my story to all of you.
It turns out that making charcoal from coconut shell indeed sounds look easy, but to get a nice charcoal results should make it with a sense of patience because the charcoal making process takes quite long time a little over a week. Quality coconut shell charcoal has a low moisture content, substance and fly high carbon belt power so that it can produce a perfect combustion. but I need to know the people of Aceh usually use the charcoal to burn the fish, grilled chicken, roasted corn and roasted meatballs.
To make charcoal from coconut shells that quality could use some means, i.e. by using the kitchen Roasting (furnace), and use the drum. The majority of the community use the drums as a means of burning. But this time I specifically discusses the making of charcoal using kitchen Roasting (furnace).
How to make coconut shell Charcoal Using Kitchen Roasting (furnace)
the first stage is to prepare coconut shells as much as we want.
Then enter the coconut shells into the furnace that was already prepared. The kitchen Roasting pit or filled with coconut shells as high as 30 cm. And then in fuel. If a layer of coconut shells begin to burn, enter again the new coconut shell as much as the previous layer at the top. Do repeatedly until a room filled to capacity.
After that, cover the hole with the meeting. You can add the land so that the lid closer. Put a block of wood or bamboo in diameter of 15-20 cm at the side of the hole. Fill the hole up to full beam. Wooden beams last pulled out slowly until the middle part of the hole/kitchen pengarangan formed a small hole.
Enter Coco/leaf that has been on the ground with oil on dampen hole until catch fire. Shell will burn from the bottom to the top. After all the burning beams, holes/kitchen pengarangan in close with a meeting. This process lasts for 5-7 days. To smoke in a hole, you have to open the lid two times a day.
And this is the result of a process of making charcoal and ready for sale to the public.
Hopefully helpful to all of us.
