If I remember well my English history lessons, the raid of vikings on Lindisfarme was the first Viking raid recorded and the start of the onslaught of the drakkars on Western Europe
Hello @herverisson. Thanks for reading, hope you enjoyed it. I'm not sure that the Lindisfarne raid was the first one recorded but it may have certainly been the first raid on England. There was/is a TV series called Vikings that covered the raid. How historically accurate it was though I can't say.
