Norwegian summers can be Tropical!
For weeks we’ve had beautiful and warm weather on the East Coast of Norway. It’s been around 25-30 degrees celcius. The water temperatures around 20 degrees makes a dip in the ocean pleasant and a little bit cooling.
Today we took a little boat trip to an island just 700 metres away from the island where we have a summer house. The island is only reachable by boat and has a fantastic sandy beach.
The kids went into the water immediately and stayed there most of the time. It was like being on a tropical island with clear water and soft sand.
A few days ago we had some french friends visiting. The ten year old daughter said: «This is not how I imagined Norway» before she dived into the water.
It’s paradise with this weather (but it’s luck, other summers we’ve had cold rain for weeks). We appreciate it a lot while we can!
Hope you’re having a great summer too!
😊Helen
