SUICIDE LETTER

I've been living in this world for 27 years in which I saw a lot of pain, a lot of unfaireness and a lot of unhappy moments. But I also saw so many beautiful things and met amazing people who made this world, in my opinion, worth living. Of course it could've been better and I hope it will be.

I lived most of my life not far from the average, I mean econommically. There were some times when I lived as a poor guy in a big city far away from my family. And I also managed to live as a rich one sometimes, saving hudge budgets for one night or one weekend. I got to know people from different "social classes" if we can suppose such things still exist. And I can tell you that everyone is struggling with his own problems. I can also tell you that there is good and evil in everything in this life and inside of each and every person you meet.

Now imagine you are reading someone's suicide letter and he's explaning how crual this world is and how impossible carrying on seems to be to him. Well I know what I would think in that case.

I would feel very guilty because if I am a son, a brother, a cousin, a friend, a neighbour, or even a casual client to that person then I was a part of his world. His "crual world", the very world he decide to give up on for nothing. He's not trading it or moving on to somewhere more interesting. He's just had enough of it and he got convinsed it means nothing to him so he abandoned it.

I would think I could've changed his mind if I cared enough, if I was kind to him and told him something positive. Because, who knows, sometimes a taxi driver can tell you something that gives you inner peace and makes your life better. Why couldn't I be that taxi driver? maybe I would've tried if I knew about his intetion of suicide but that's not an excuse. I mean, what would it cost me if I just spread positive vibes all around in case someone was having a bad day?

What would it cost us all if we were just not this "crual" and insensitive to each other? It would cost us nothing I swear. But it might help us feel better about ourselves, save lives and make this world better. We can make it so good that it would have a meaning to everyone and no one would decide to leave it hopelesly.
