The task is arduous and the philosophical implications are overwhelming. However, there is a limit to the solutions provided by technology; for example, this can provide us with a platform for decentralized democracy, but it is impossible for us to configure our rules. However, I believe we can make small changes that would undoubtedly bring remarkable improvements compared to our current situation.
Better than democracy. Machine intelligence can augment our wisdom, eliminate contradiction, and help us scale discussion. Democracy doesn't work primarily because the voters aren't wise, discussion doesn't scale, and most importantly people make voting decisions which go directly against their self interest.
This is one of the reasons why our rulers came to power, (in the case of Venezuela). There was no wisdom and the voters voted for someone to come out of a model. Now they were looking for the messiah who would save us from this mess. For something they say that we have the rulers that we deserve and not the ones we need
Exactly and if we don't do something the decentralized community we see will soon be ruled by the same kind of forces.
