Do You Wish You Could Embrace Your Corporate Job Like a Child Would?
Does your 9-5 burn you out? 😴 Tired of conforming in the corporate world? Today I noticed just how different life could be in our corporate jobs if we just took a page out of a kids book...
If every morning we woke up so eager to start the day! So excited just to even get on a train to make a commute that we got up with time to spare, and could eat a McDonalds breakfast without having to worry about counting calories...
If we could wear cute headbands and drink babycinos.
If we loved the commute so much, and we used the time to learn interesting facts about mosquitos, and things in outer space.
If we weren't worried about the cost of our journey to work, but excited about the technology that is involved.
If we actually took the time to enjoy the novelty items around the office. Like sit in that tent in the office that probably no one ever sat in for the last 6 months. That sleeping bag is going to waste because of all the people worried about how taking a nap in there will affect their personal brand.
If we painted unicorns on our face, and made our fruit snacks fun!
If we took the time to connect with one another, and painted each other's nails once in a while.
If we used meeting time to unleash our creativity, get lost in the moment, and share resources with one another.
If we left work feeling so proud of what we achieved each day, even if it was something as simple as colouring a really nice picture.
If we lived by the mantra 'Work Hard, Play Hard!' and instead of going home worn out at the end of a working day to watch Netflix, we took some time to go for drinks, catch a movie with friends, or even head down to the arcade!

Kids are so refreshing in their excitement
oh my goodness I know right. When we were clothes shopping in Target for this outfit all of the kids clothes were soooo cute and colourful, and all of the adults clothes were so plain and boring haha :) like, just because i'm a grown up, I can't have a rainbow coat too? haha
I wish my work life was just like that, maybe we all should try and have a little more fun in the office.

Adorable headbands aside, I'm so glad to have found a job where my workday isn't too far off from this - creativity, curiosity and exploration of ideas are my daily routine :). Always some new idea to explore - wish more workplaces embraced this!
