Playing with Legos

In Korea, they have places where you can do Legos. So, instead of purchasing the Lego set at the store and then the child does it one time and then dumps it to never do it again, people can just spend a one-time-fee to get in to this Lego area. They can choose whatever Lego set they want to put together, and then when they're done, they can go home. It’s basically renting the Lego set.

I think it's a really great idea. It’s much more economical than buying a Lego set at the store. At the store, it can cost anywhere from $80~$100. I've even seen ones that go all the way up to $500!

Here at the Lego Playland, we pay about $6 to get in per child and adults are $2.

Sitting on the Floor

The Lego tables are little desks connected together on the floor. You sit down and dump the Legos onto the table. Each set comes with laminated instructions. While following the manual, if there's a missing piece, all you have to do is go up to the front desk and tell the lady and she will go fish out the same piece from a different Lego set. It's very quite convenient.

Legos are a good way to develop a child's creativity @gungho

Yes, you are right @cryptopie. Legos requires kids to move their hands, connecting them and pulling them apart. It helps their Motor Skills. And not only that, but it's also good for following directions.

Yes, it really is a great place for the kids and even the adults to have fun. Next time, we'll show what Lego set was chosen!

This sounds really cool. Do you have to build things from sets or do they also have just loose pieces that you can pick through to build something freestyle? I love Legos but from a very early age had way more fun building my own creations vs. following the instructions.

No, they don't have the selection of random pieces to put together to make what they want. That would be even a greater idea. Thanks for the idea! It is much more fun to build what you want instead of always following the directions because the directions have limitations on creativity.
