That is the simple truth. But I always find that it is better you give to people who really need it. Conmen would always be there trying to play on your compassion.
Yes, @greenrun, conmen would always be there...the more reason why we should be extremely careful of such opportunists. My desire is that I am able to identify them on time, so as to keep my distance.
That is the main thing to do. Or you could use an uncle's method, he gives you the least if he feels you are not genuine. Just enough to get you off his back :)
