RE: How An "Agbero" Saved Me - Life Lessons Learnt

in #life7 years ago

This is truly a great lesson on never to underestimate the usefulness of people. The cleaner, the low paid security man, the porter, all are humans first before they are what they do. I always do not understand why people that forgot their wallet do not, instead of begging random people on the road for help, stop a bike or cabman and tell him you do not have the fare with you here and would pay him on arrival at the venue. Since it is your office you are going, your office guys know you and could easily spot you a N100. In my opinion, I think it is an offer you would get so quickly/easily than asking random strangers who may think you are a sort of a con man or something of that nature.

It doesn't work in a place like Abuja especially when you're not taking a drop. Taxi drops you off on the road, my office isn't on the road side where you can do that. Besides what's the chances that you'll meet someone in the office to give you that money?

Unless your colleagues are not like the ones I know, the chances in my case is 100%. Unless there's no one there.
