The World Might Be Turning Solar Sooner than We Thought! U.S.A Future | Elon Musk

Let's face it, the world isn't in great shape. The world needs to become renewable fast! We all know this. The problem is how?

Solar energy in recent years has plummeted in price. Soon it will be almost as cheap as coal. This opens affordable solar energy to the world.

Right now, about 10 percent of the U.S.A is powered by renewable energy sources. To achieve complete renewable energy power, Elon Musk told the National Governors Association he believes that solar is the way to go. Quote:

“If you wanted to power the entire U.S. with solar panels, it would take a fairly small corner of Nevada or Texas or Utah; you only need about 100 miles by 100 miles of solar panels to power the entire United States,” Musk said. “The batteries you need to store the energy, to make sure you have 24/7 power, is 1 mile by 1 mile. One square-mile. That’s it.”

Basically this but a hell of a lot​ bigger!

Wow. This actually sounds possible right?

With more pressure on governments to hit environmental targets and increasing oil prices. This giant solar farm could be constructed sooner than we thought! Elon Musk also talked about a combination of residential solar and commercial projects playing a critical role in ensuring energy 24hours a day.

All in all, it sounds like the future for solar is very promising. Tesla is rapidly growing and Elon Musk will 100% make his mark in this sector.

Right now the main problems lie in government and doubt campaigning to keep 'business as usual'.

Unfortunately, change always creates disruption. Sometimes it stops positive progress for the future as companies try to cling onto profit.

This is a sacrifice oil, coal and gas companies are going to have to abide by. We can't allow companies to destroy the planet just for profit that only benefits a small few. Action must be taken now!

Solar energy actually creates more jobs than coal, oil and gas combined. The need for skilled workers is higher and need for constant maintenance is constant.

Basically, it's down to us! The public need to support renewable projects and hold governments accountable for allowing lobbying​ and doubt campaigning​ to continue. We can do this! Spread the message and change will happen! Legends.
