Lifter of Our Heads
Psalms 3:3 But thou, O LORD, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head.
When we consider life's problems, difficulties and storms around us, we come to a realization that the Lord is our shield. He's the middle man in the fire of destruction, turning it to a domain of glory and promotion. He's there for us in the midst of water, that's why we aren't drawn. At times, it looks like we can't come out of it, but the Almighty God is our shield.
He's been the shield from evil since the beginning of time. By record, He hasn't failed before. He's not just our shield, but the lifter of our heads. When life throws shame, He lifts us above it. We have our heads up now, all because of Christ Jesus who took our shame and gave us the boldness of righteousness.
Our God is our glory. This means He's the only one we can glory in, for in Him we live and move and have our being. Where we are is by His decision to lift us. We are nothing without Christ.
Don't allow shame plague you. Lift up your head high and glorify God, who has brought us this far. Flee from sin and live in holiness. More lifting is on the way for us.

Heavenly Father, thank you for being the lifter of our lives. We honour you forever, in Jesus name. Amen.
