Sweet Expectation

According to a theory of musical expectation listeners; they feel the emotion in music because of the violation, delay or approval of their expectations about the continuation of music.

If the sound is heard by the audience, so that if their expectations are confirmed, listeners will experience positive emotions as a result of this process. Even if listeners are exposed to negative emotions while listening to sad music, sweet expectation can allow listeners to feel positive emotions.

According to Richard Lazarus, a psychologist, people should be able to understand their own situation to experience their feelings. For example, when a dog barked, we should understand that the dog's barking is frightening for us before we feel fear.

From a musical point of view, it is pleasant to feel a sense of contentment, even if it is a sadness, but a sense of emotion that is combined with music and presented in aesthetics. In addition, the rewarding effect of enjoying art can also be a reason for our well-being.
