Science and the Modern World
The correct interpretation of the modern world depends on a good understanding of the complex phenomenon we call science at first. Moreover, the study of the conceptual structure of science provides a very effective and productive opportunity of mind education.
Since the last quarter century, in science teaching, rather than factual knowledge, the importance given to the basic concepts and principles, the process of thinking, verification and evaluation instead of memorizing processed and ready information comes from the educational value of this opportunity.
Philosophy is often a speculative and sometimes irresponsible way of thinking. It is not true for contemporary philosophy, it is not true for the philosophy of science. The philosophy of science is based on the effort of a critical and analytical thinking, in accordance with the subject and purpose. While speculation does not deny its place in philosophy, even in science, neither science, nor indeed philosophy, can proceed at the purely speculative level.
If one observes the observation or test as the final application, the other must inevitably have to take control of the logical analysis method. Looking at this approach in our book is important for preventing some misunderstandings.
Given the abstract nature of the issues discussed and the discrepancy in terminology in our language, the difficulty that the author faces in holding the book at the general intellectual level is easily appreciated. However, the language we use to save the reader from unnecessary coercion has been tried to be as simple, clear and fluid as possible.
However, it would be unfair to expect to read a book about philosophy of science as if it were a simple novel.
