Self confidence plays a very important role in the process of attracting one's ideal mate or partner. And it is arguably the most important factor in maintaining a stable and fulfilling relationship in the long term. While self-confidence may sometimes be mistaken for arrogance, the two are definitely not one and same. Arrogance often comes from a false sense of superiority, or the feeling of being superior and better than one's fellow human. Arrogance is also in most cases a symptom of one more major insecurities existing subconsciously in the psyche of an individual, which usually leads to an excessive need for competition and ultimately, a path of destruction and isolation caused due to feelings of inadequacy which may cause a person to separate from his or her Society.

On the other hand, confidence comes from a real sense of accomplishment and the feeling of gratitude and satisfaction from accomplishing one's goals, from the EVOLUTION of the HUMAN animal, the INDEFINATE PERFECTABILITY of mankind. Operating from a place of selflove and Joy as if endowed with the supernatural ability to focus mainly on one's goals. Not with a mind of selfishness, but in the act of "self-careness". This is ultimately what attracts a person's most deserving and compatible mate to them.

This includes focusing on goals relating to health, wealth, emotional and social state. And while there is a tendency for a person to become more selfless, letting themselves go, so to speak, when they become intimately involved in a commited relationship. It would be a mistake to assume that such an action would help to sustain the relationship in the long term, because history has proved that it almost never does. Instead, one should practice the complete opposite and continue to better themselves, in order for them to be of greater value to their partners.
